Bowl rematches suck. Most of the time the loser wins the rematch, and the few times it didn't happen the teams were mismatched. The loser knows what to fix, the winner has to guess what else might work.

Hard to argue with this. Precisely why you shouldn't have to play them again

I can think of 2 games from the late 90's where this happened.
Notre Dame came in and beat LSU 20 something to 10 or so... probably similar to the Saints/Rams game this year. That was when we had Kevin Faulk. Rematch in the Independence Bowl, Faulk was out, all we had was Rondell Mealey. He ran for over 200 and LSU basically flipped the score.

The other I remember offhand, Fla State beat Spurrier's great Florida team 27-24, in what was (at the time) considered a big upset and a great game by the 'Noles. Rematch in the Sugar, Florida dropped 50 on them and won the national title.

I suspect OBJ is in a better position to know this than you are.

he told saban everything we were practicing for the championship game.

Greg Williams did not tell Saban anything he didn't already know- Run up the middle and HORIZONTAL throws to the sidelines- Pathetic!
