The OL recruiting has been very solid to great the last few years when you consider Rosenthal and Hines Switching to OL

My only concern is recruiting players at DE. The last 3 years:

Farrell 3*
Thomas 3*

Cotton 4*
Nelson 3*

Evans 3*

We’re putting a lot of hope and prayer power into 3* developing into the kind of players we need them to be.

Comparing our lines to Georgia and Alabama. We aren’t even close to competing

I'm still a little concerned with OT, that's it. Defense looks stout. Still need a couple more DBs behind the future All star Stingley.

I like Rosenthal a lot at OT

Parker should be good there too with time to bulk up.

If we get Parker then I'll feel good about the OL this year with future depth. Next year will be a huge DL class, with potential to get multiple studs. That will be interesting to watch. Defense should be filthy next year.

Evans will be a lot better than his rating. Kid comes from NFL family lines. He committed to LSU in October 2017 and never took any other visits. When you do that and don't camp the scouts tend not to bump your ratings. He's also from 1A Haynesville so the small school hurts even though they have an outstanding program with good coaching.

Honestly, ill be the bad guy and say that they kind of look soft. If our strength and conditioning program can knock off about 50 lbs and then slap on 10-20 lbs of muscle paired with these guys natural athletic ability....look out!

ETA: Soft in terms of being too flabby, not their motor or toughness

Totally Agree! this is what Ark and Miss state Use not LSU.
We need to be pulling at least 2 or 3 Ika types in on the dline and Oline every year! Like playoff contenders do every year. Dont get me wrong a project or two isnt bad but you cant have a class full of them.

Yep our guys on the line this year looked slow and overweight. They need to slim them all down a bit more like Glen Logan. I think that is a transformation that we need to see among most of our guys in the offseason.

He needs to lose a some of the excess weight, but I wouldn't call Kardell Thomas soft:
