Like everyone Ed O has his positives and negatives. No one can say he didnt build that team we had last year with his passion and personality. It was the greatest season I have ever witnessed and he pulled that off. Now did he immediately get divorced and start banging cougars and partying? It would seem so. Did that same brash personality that was so endearing bite him in the butt a little with all that BLM crap before the season? Yes it did. Have we gone off a damn cliff this season with a team that looks nothing like it did less than a year ago? Absolutely. Is what it is. If we cut bait, I just want a top level coach coming in behind him, not an experiment.

You made my point. You can want Urban, but he's not coming here. You can want Saban, but he's not coming here.

Were you making these statements when we won the national championship less than a year ago?
Were you posting O is the worst when he beat Alabama?
Were you posting O was an idiot when he pulled in two top 5 recruiting classes?
Were you making those statements when LSU swept every award in the country last year, including best coach in college football?

Listen, I'm frustrated too, but I also realize that O has done a lot for LSU. It's easy to criticize others when the chips are down, but the makeup of a man is how does he respond to the situation.

If we fired everybody that had a bad day/season, none of us would be employed at a company for every long.

Consider all the crap that has gone on and he's in position to still land a top 5 recruiting class. That's incredible! Listen, O has to get everything going back in the right direction, but he has earned that right!

You have to understand that all of these players are young teenagers that all think they're NFL material. These kids are easily influenced and change their mind daily, if not hourly. We just lost 14 players to the draft - an NFL record - and a host of others opted out for whatever reason. When's the last time LSU had more than half of its starters drafted in the NFL? Never.

Give O a chance and if he fails, then we fire him. He deserves a chance to correct the situation considering less than 10 months ago, he helped LSU win the biggest prize in college football.

I agree with everything you said for the most part. I agree O has to get this thing fixed quickly or he will have to go. I guess I'm more willing to give him more time because this year has been unlike any year before.

When it's all said and done, most SEC teams will have played 10 games against nothing but SEC teams. That's a huge challenge, especially when you have elite teams like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Auburn and Texas A&M, who also have the best coaches and players in the country.

I would venture to guess that LSU has played more freshmen this year than any other program in the country, easily. I think all things considered, O deserves another year to show last year's NC season wasn't a one-time event and he is the coach to lead LSU back to greatness. Time will tell!
