Watching these NFL games and all of these coaches are actively engaged and talking with the coaches in the booth VIA the headset. Meanwhile O hasn’t moved his microphone into the speaking position all year. What gives??

He has nothing to contribute to the conversation.

His only functions are to motivate and recruit

It's because nobody can understand what he's saying.

I’m starting to believe this. The microphone portion hasn’t moved to his mouth this entire season. But he does clap a lot during timeouts and change of possessions.

I’ve been told that he’s the best d line coach in America. Why isn’t he helping there?

Of all of his faults, this is not one of them. New coordinators with an inexperienced QB, there is no need for him to micro manage in game.

Agree. Les Miles seemed to always have a running conversation during games and the play calling showed it.

Is is unreasonable to expect new coordinators to come in and teach stuff that'll improve the offense or defense?

IOW, OK you're new here, show us what ya got.

There’s a huge difference in micromanaging and communicating with your staff

I prefer that he do as little actual coaching as possible.

I mean, Pelini said it took four years to learn his defense, but, can everyone use that excuse at LSU?

If he were seen "communicating" over the headset, people on here would immediately assume he is calling all the bad plays and blame him for the offense sucking. And no one on here has any idea how much he does or doesn't communicate his staff during the game.

We all watch the games and we all see him just standing there Mrs. Orgeron.

It’s funny that he is literally the only coach that doesn’t communicate over the headset and you think it’s okay
