Something our fans can’t seem to grasp with still shots is that it takes time to set and throw. As you can see in the shot he’s still in his drop, by the time he hits his back foot Williams has blown the block and he’s sacked. What’s funny is sometimes as he’s dropping back he’ll sling one which these fans constantly complain about but here want him to do it. I said this during the Miles years that we’d have a generation of fans who had no clue how QB play works and now we’re seeing that play out.

Nuss holds onto the ball too long, especially given how terrible our IOL’s play. Too much trying to make a big play and not enough taking what’s given.

FWIW - our receivers couldn’t get separation against a banged up UF secondary? Terrible.

Back on the OL: Mubenga shouldn’t see the field again - either a healthy Delly or Tyree need to be there. Chester is a Guard after this year, Echols has to slot in at Center.

It’s all around awful play in the pass game.

What happened on the next play, an apparent TD which was disallowed for a pick? I didn't see any contact.

There's maybe 2 QBs in CFB that make something out of that play.

A QB will naturally see the RB matched up there for pass pro and will assume that he will at least slow him down enough to step up. Our fans want a QB to assume that none of his pass protectors will do anything to slow defenders down, then also complain that he's seeing ghosts.

Why is the design to have Lacy on the line of scrimmage?

It’s because they don’t understand where offense begins and ends. They think it’s XBOX

Pocket awareness is a constant not just after you drop back.

Daniels had the same coaching last year and did not have the same issues.

Daniels had the same problem 2 years ago...indecisive...holding the ball too long...not scanning the field well enough, etc. But Daniels went into the VR room and worked his arse off to improve his game. That included "speeding up the game" by running the VR simulations at faster than normal speed. I'm not sure Nussmeier has the balls to play QB but for sure the game is too fast for him. Maybe the VR deal would work or wouldn't work but it couldn't hurt. Daniels appears to be a much harder worker than Nussmeier will ever be.

This shite is so stupid.

Freeze frames are the absolute worst way to judge individual plays like this

Although I do think he missed Anderson but couldn’t see him because of the pressure in his face causing him to redirect

Was one of your choices Lagway?

So take the check down? Do you see the LBs on either side about 2 and 3 yards away? By the time he sets and throws they’re gonna light that WR up then you guys would be complaining he’s gonna get somebody killed.

Our receiver ran directly into the db. Didn’t even try to make it look accidental

He dbl clutched all night. He’s lost it mentally, incredible how fragile he’s become. I thought he was a tough nut earlier this year.

Nuss at some point has to get rid of the ball or run. He can’t hang on to it all night. Williams saved his tail all night. This is one play- show the other 10
plays where Williams saved him. Williams is by far the best option in pass pro at running back regardless of this play.

two open wrs anderson and who ever is deeper coming across. Yet Nuss cant see open wrs or throw thwm open.
This sums up the offense along with 4 n.1 and a 3yd loss.
Defense was summed up drop a pick that hits you in the chest and 3 plays later its a TD!
LSU at its finest.

He’s watching the rush instead of the field. Cardinal sin in Quarterbacking

That should have been an easy, instinctual completion
