Thanks to Josh Smith we didn't get swept.

How did the highest paid college baseball coach in the country let this happen?

Please leave.
So your starting catcher is out. You have 2 stud pitchers , one being a 2way player, are out. And of course Walker having surgery took your Friday guy out before the season began.
By the end of April only Bryce Jordan of the Jordan Boys will be pinch hitting every other night or so.

Cabrera and co. will be distributing pain.
This team is loaded with speed and has good arms.

I’m excited to see what they look like on April 15th. If they look bad then, maybe I’ll worry a little.

LSU is giving up an avg of 9 runs per game right now. There's definitely a huge concern for the team. Especially when they can't hit the strike zone to save their lives and when they do it's meatballs right down the middle.

just like last year. Lange and the entire bullpen were terrible for the first 2-3 weeks of the season last year. Poche' and a few veterans were all we had.

this team needs time to develop. there is some talent on the squad and if we can stabilize our SP we can be pretty good.

Yeah, you would think after 6 straight national seeds and an appearance in the championship series would give a hall of fame coach some cache. If only there were evidence of LSU starting slow and finishing strong under Mainieri, that would probably give LSU fans pause before being ready to blow up the season after 1 series.

I could understand if this wasn't a proven coach we were talking about.
