Not to be negative but rather a devil’s advocate...

But Bama had some drops too that would have been big plays. So it’s unfair to say with a better Quarterback we would have won the game.

We could play that matchup 10 times and likely lose them all.

That being said, the shifts and motions really messed with saban and he’s too stubborn to give you an extra gap and stay put ala auburn.

We had them blocked

Lol if you watched the game we would have won with a better qb

You’re still making the point. They had drops.. yet Hurts running was still the game changer.

He wasn’t great but they made the few more plays because of him. Swap qbs and we win.

There were opportunities to gain yards when plays broke down if Etling could have ran a bit bettter up the middle.

I know everyone was getting sick of the jet sweeps, but I felt we abandoned them after Gage nut smacked M Fitz.

We abandoned the game plan from the first half. We were balanced and moving the ball fairly well.

We went straight run the 2nd half and got us nowhere

I don't remember any that looked as long as our misfires/drops. I don't think it's unfair to say with a better QB we would have won the game. The turnover was huge and the misfires and unnecessary sacks were huge. He had some good throws, but they seemed to diminish as the game went on.

It's not unfair to say, given the overthrows (Chark in the endzone, and Dee Anderson on the sideline), but anybody blaming a QB for WR drops is a freaking moron.
