I live in the New Orleans area and don’t leave home without packing. I went to the French quarter Sunday night for the first time in years. What a shithole. They had tourists walking through there at night with their young kids. Felt bad for them. I just don’t understand how New Orleans could never clean up that small area for years and years. Rudy Giuliani cleaned up New York.

I'm not saying you don't know how to shoot a pistol but you're just assuming it's going to play out like some Hollywood movie and you're going to have that opportunity moment to get your gun out and have a heroic moment. Odds are it'll happen a little too quickly for that and you'll probably have a gun pointed at you the whole time. You aren't Liam Neeson and this isn't the taken movies

Of course it is not a Hollywood movie. But these thugs are idiots. They are arrogant and assume too often. I don’t need them to put their gun in the glove department and close the door. All I need is about 5 seconds of them not looking at me. That’s plenty of time to take out pistol and send a bullet through their brain. I have a compact 1911 style double safety pistol. Which means I can keep a round in the chamber at all times. I’ve timed it about 30 times. From the sitting position, it takes about 8-10 seconds to get it out of pocket and trained on target. If I’m standing, which is the plan, it takes no more than 3-5 seconds. One lapse of judgement (not hard for thug) and boom!
