non existant return team

for the first time in my life i saw a return man fair catch a kick off, and if that wasnt bad enough, it was at the 10 yard line 
they do it all the time on punts because guys are all around them but that is never the situation on kickoffs which is why NO ONE EVER FAIR CATCHES A KICK OFF
if giles refuses to do anything but fair catch, even with 20 yards of open field in front of him, which is what he had on the second half low line drive kickoff, then why in the hell is he even back there, seriously?????????????
put a running back or tight end or hell even the damn water boy out there, anybody who isnt afraid to run for the free yards the other team is giving you on kick coverage
is giles being told by the coaches, in no uncertain terms, FAIR CATCH ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING AND DO NOT TRY TO GAIN YARDS AFTER THE CATCH, because it is what he does
it is infuriating to see a free 10-15 yards are there but never taken on most kicks we receive and it has to be more then giles is doing it because he is scared to get hit.

Almost everyone fair catches the kickoff.
You can fair catch for a touchback up to the 25 too

Were you so enraged at this fair catch that you turned the TV off? If not, you'd probably see that the offense started the drive at the 25yd line. At that point, you would have learned something new. Instead, we have this thread.
