no wonder our Oline get pushed back every play, they have to stay squatted for 30 seconds
every play before the ball is snapped, obv not the only reason but ffs their our weakest part of our team we should be trying to help them out as much as we can not making it harder on them

There is no reason on planet earth we’re not running hurry up almost exclusively. Quick throws and keep the defense off balance. We have shitty playcalling, o line play, and slow tempo. It’s a recipe for disaster

I actually think this is a real thing.

When you force big guys to stay down and still for a long time, that's not good.

Get the play called, line 'em up, and pull the trigger. Do it again the next play -- give the defense no time to regroup or rest.

maybe let them stand up until Peetz makes his mind up on which vanilla play we're gonna run?

Yes and how bout scripting some plays for the beginning of the game especially since Max is young and the OLine is lost it may help get some rhythm going .

The O line has many issues and this slow tempo exacerbates those issues. Peetz needs to get his act together. He is paid too damn much for the crappy product he is delivering.

if you are crying about situational calls then you get no argument from me. we do need to get in a rythym.

the hurry up is great as it keeps a tired D from subbing and you have time for the OC to quick read the D with check with me and send down a call if you do not have quick calls from the QB already set to keep running/calling to catch them off guard. doubtful these QB's can audible like burrow did without OC help. other than checks to runs, some zone read, RPO, etc.

Peetz is proving to be a disappointment.

Certainly, talent along the OL is a problem and something he can’t control.

But our WRs line up tight way too often and we aren’t causing any matchup issues or getting good releases from it.

And it absolutely hurts us in the running game to have that many people inside the hashes.

We need to get back to spreading the field. Peetz doesn’t seem to know how to take advantage of the tight formations.

What good does it do ti line rush to the line and then take the play clock down to 1 second? Its stupid. Did it the whole game against UCLA. Call the play run up and snap it and run the play instead of trying to figure out where everyone is.

it absolutely is. Does affect you mentally also. But physically it can affect you on a play by play basis. Over the course of a game it damn sure affects your legs. Also affects your core- back and abs- where you aren't keeping your pad level low.

First thing it affects is your posture and fire-off, not to mention your punch and ability alter a DL shoulder-square (i.e. deflect or re-direct their motion). Which is one of the most valuable things you can do against speed. Make that straight line less straight (shortest distance is straight line and all that) giving you a chance to get your feet in-base and recover from initially being beat.

Strategically, you give that DL much more time to move around and constantly change your assignments. Which is also part of taxing you mentally. When your ears are ringing, can't quite catch your breath, arms and feet don't lift as high as fast as they should you already aren't thinking that clearly. And having to re-think and re-communicate multiple times a play inevitably leads to mistakes also known as blown assignments and false starts.

That's why catchers not be so fast ever. Not even Johnny Bench.

There is a damn good reason we are not running HUNH. Its because we are “behind the chains” most of the time so far this year.

Too complicated for our learn on the job OC that is clueless in calling plays. Looks like Brady unloaded a bum on Orgeron.

Think about the defense in baseball. When the pitcher works at a fast pace, the defense is better. The offense needs to develop a faster pace to help the offense line.

I agree 100%. This offense should know when the get to the line what play is being called. All this looking to the sideline is just unacceptable.

I still think there is a delay in the play calling due to Orgeron being involved in approving it

Max also needs to nor survey the defense until the 2 second mark.

We can’t go with any kind of up tempo pace because Max can’t make checks and audible. Everything has to come from the sideline which slows us down.

This is the same system they ran with brady.

The problem is how long it is taking to get the checks in.

On top of that they need to just go with the original play call and go up tempo.
