I’m ok with it. It’s an alternate that they’ll wear one time and it’ll never be seen again. Probably would’ve looked better with purple pants though.

Not a bad deal for changing it up! Last I checked we aren’t the ones wearing the uniforms! Things like a chrome color changing helmet and the all white uniforms get these young players excited and they want to perform at the highest when they feel they look good. QUIT BITCHING!!!!! JESUS SOME PEOPLE HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO BUT BITCH! Let’s worry about getting the W!!

Like it or not this is one way to get recruits. I’ve had conversations with several recruits when i was in high school and college that only considered oregon because of the uniforms. I don’t get why but it’s the reality of recruiting high schoolers.

Looking at the helmet, it just looks like it's purple or metallic purple to me. The photo is of such low quality and the different colors from the different color temperature lights in the reflections don't really seem to make it look like a true color-changing effect.

They wore these helmets during a scrimmage while Lindsey Scott was here. Remember seeing a Snapchat video. So the helmets definitely are real.

There’s a design within the number, and while you won’t be able to see it without a zoomed view that’s probably why they chose to make it the focal point instead of adding shoulder stripes.
