Yup... pretty much. Also to make a couple dollars off the people who buy the terrible retail imitations.
They have alternate uniforms for one damn game a season (if that). The old people need shut up and let the kids play on your lawn every now and then.

I'm sure they make plenty when they release alternates for schools that don't typically wear them. A lot of people don't buy jerseys every year because their uniforms don't ever change. But when they release an alternate, plenty of people will purchase them. Nike is in the business of making money. If they didn't see a profit from releasing alternate jerseys like this, they wouldn't pump them out.

I think the helmet is chrome and it’s just reflecting the lights in the locker.

If we win 35-13 they will look awesome. If we lose 35-13 they will look terrible. I think we lost the purple-pant game vs. Kentucky way back in the day - sorta don't favor wild departures from the already cool combos we have. White - purple - white with the traditional stripes should be our permanent color jersey, IMO... Geaux Tigers
