cause he let Waters dribble the air out of the ball. That team could have been better, and was out coached in the tourney for sure. even vs Maryland

He didn’t even coach vs. Maryland.

LSU had a KenPom offensive rating of 12th nationally despite having one rotation player that was a good outside shooter (Darius Days as our 8th man)

Imagine letting Waters play you out of games when you have 4 other nba players on the team

He let cam Thomas do the same shite. At least Waters set up teammates occasionally

I knew a guy who called him an idiot for leaving LSU when he did. Happy to see his success at the next level.

Occasionally in life, folks/fans get what they deserve. The Wade haters don't realize they have been exposed.

I remember him winning us a lot of games. Maybe we watched a different season

ETA: As a side note since we're talking about Waters and Cam, it's funny how those teams' identity revolved around scoring a lot but Wade's final year here when he didn't have a scorer of that caliber he emphasized defense and won a bunch of games that way too after you bitching about how Wade couldn't coach defense. I yearn for the days when we had a coach that could get a pulse on what his roster was good at, adapt to it, find them an identity, and get them to execute it to the tune of winning a boat load of SEC games.

Almost as sour of a take as you saying Ty Floyd couldn't be trusted against good teams going into the baseball postseason.

TWolves fan here...he is doing some crazy work for us now and has greatly expanded his game. With KAT, he may be on a seriously good team!

Will Wade did not get the most out of Reid. He was a great recruiter or bag deliverer, but rolled the ball on the court and told the players to whip something up.

Reid did too much dribbling, took too many bad 3's, and played no defense. Talented player, but ability alone does not cut it although it looked better than what we have now.

Reid only spent 1 year here, his freshman season. He averaged 13/7 with a nearly 20 PER which is very good for a freshman, and on a team that had Mays, Waters, Williams, Bigby-Williams, Days and Smart.

Reid was really good for a true freshman, he obviously only would have continued to get better over time. Look at the leaps guys make in basketball generally speaking from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd seasons. Emmitt Williams from year 1 to year 2. Days form year 1 to 2-3-4. Smart from year 1 to year 3.

Naz’s freshman numbers are comparable to most of our All-Time best freshman bigs. He also compared favorably to the top players in his class, outperforming his ranking in that class. He hit big shots in big games and carried us in some tough spots like in the win at Rupp. He was an outstanding player for us as a freshman.
