Naismith Award releases 15 nominees for COY

I get that we are all a bit biased on this board, but seriously, HOW is Will Wade not even considered a top-15 coach right now? This man has completely turned over the roster and has this team in position to win the SEC regular season after a win @ Kentucky and a win against Tennessee without Tremont Waters.
I mean we were 2-16 and finished last place two years ago! A turn around of this magnitude deserves some recognition on a national level. Even if he doesn't win, he should be on the list.

You reckon it's because of the whole FBI subpoena thing?

They will stay away until the fbi investigation is over or he gets cleared.

It must be.
There is no reason he shouldn't be in the top 5 for this award unless it is because of the FBI thing.
2016-17 (Johnny):
10-21 (2-16)
2017-18 (Wade with mostly Johnny players):
18-15 (8-10)
2018-19 (Wade with all his players):
23-5 (13-2) 1st in SEC, 13th in AP

His team is two games back of the SWAC regular season championship race right now. Might be SWAC coach of the year, if they can close down the stretch and somehow pass Prairie View. Ha.
They actually have some decent non-conference wins this year (Baylor, Oregon).

Was also wondering this, but that has nothing to do with the coaching job he’s done this year. It really has been great to watch. Now it might have something to do with the talent we have though

Coaches still have us ranked behind Purdue who has 7 losses and best win is verse Maryland. Makes me think will wade isnt super popular in the coaching community.
