If Myles is

putting up 3800-4000 yards and 38-40 touchdowns

this season, then he’s in the NFL next year.

Just don’t crack under the pressure of following Burrow.

If he can complete 60-65% and keep his INT ratio low, throw for 3,000yds and 30TDs would be incredible.

I think he'll be a little over 60 percent on completions, with 25 TDs and 8 INTs.

Those will pale in comparison to Burrow, but 99 percent of the QBs who have ever played pale in comparison to Joe.

If Myles can hit those numbers, then we should have a pretty good season. I like what the defense brings to the table, so the offense shouldn't have to be as prolific.

He must lead by example in addition to the excellent points you make. If he is not tough, confident, and a hard worker, the team will not exhibit those traits.

I don’t think anyone expects another Burrow-like performance. 30 TDs/3000 yards would be just great IF we also have a stellar run game. 30TDs translates into 17.5 ppg over 12 games, so there would have to be significant contributions from the running game. I think it’ll take around 27-30 ppg average for LSU to be competitive in the west.

If he can do 1/2 of what burrow did - LSU might not lose

Should match or better Mett’s 2013 production by a fair margin in this system and with these receivers, I wouldn’t be happy with anything less as I can only assume it would involve us losing games.

Fixed it for ya

And I agree we need to enjoy what Burrow did and leave it in the past. Brennan will be his own unique QB for LSU. If he’s just 2/3 as good as Burrow that will be fantastic.

I gave you a 4th Up arrow (17 didn’t)
Haters gonna hate!

You deserve respect for your opinions here and i’ll Comment on your points below

Thank you Girth Brooks 62 (You are Ed Orgeron’s age you know)

You said ... And I quote you!

quote:

Elite Quarterbacks have these elite traits & skill sets:

1.) Read coverages quickly and be able to make great decisions while under duress!

2.) Pocket Awareness & Footwork

3.) Arm Accuracy

Great Accuracy & Decision Making under Duress are arguably the two most important traits that separates elite QBs from good.

4.) Adequate Arm Strength

5.) Execute Well Under Pressure

1. Video on Myles shows that he has great ability to read coverages quickly and find that second open receiver. The Saints System requires a QB to go through progressions and plays require the QB to check off receivers in order to find the best throw. Myles’ OL will give him plenty of time to avoid pressure. Plays & play sequences are choreographed based on opponent weakness and tendency.

Did you know LSU did the Florida Game Plan this week Coach E & Linehan are already hard at work developing base game plans to better focus and use their video review time later in an efficient manner.
This = More Explosive LSU plays

2. Myles greatly improved his Pocket presence and footwork in the year Brady was here. Watch the TAMU video.

3. Myles has great accuracy and will have a low TD to Int rate Again, 3 years of S&C along with that year with Brady has Myles ready to do his June 1 summer work and throw 10,000 MORE passes this summer. Let’s note his 48 TDs to 3 Ints in his Sr yr

4. 4. Myles arm strength will have him make Rd 1 NFL Able to throw the 70 yd pass and having a very quick release, his trigger time needs to improve over practice and the course of the season.

5. Myles will execute well under pressure as plays called for him ask him to do simple reads and steps. Myles 4.7 speed (about same as Joe) will help him move to be in position to make designed play connections

Broken plays will happen, and I watched Myles do quite well in HS, again with good foot speed.

LETS BUMP THIS THREAD BACK UP TEXAS WEEK

Brooks, I think Myles is going to show you all 5 points serviceability and make you proud of him vs Texas.

Thanks for the thread!

Up to the coaches to convince Myles he doesn’t have to fill those shoes. We stacked at Rb rely on them early and don’t ask too much from Myles till he settles in

I believe that Myles Brennan will make significant improvements from 2020 to 2021. He has two full years at LSU. Odd numbered years have had a way with working out for the Tigers. The schedule presents a lot of road obstacles, however, it helps that they are backloaded with trips to Auburn & A&M.

Mettenberger improved immensely in his second year. Burrow improved more than quarterback in college football history in his second year. Myles could make similar strides in his second year.

In his first year starting, I would expect him to put up a very efficient campaign but not in the neighborhood of 3600+ yards and 35+ touchdowns. That’s not to say I don’t want Myles to have that kind of success obviously. He is very capable but needs more experience.

First Year Prediction Through 12 Games:

2800-3000 Yards Passing
28 to 30 Passing TDS
60-64 percent completion percentage
10-2 - Record as a Starter

In his second year starting, I expect him to have an elite year and be a top 10 QB and send the Tigers to the playoffs.
