My Poetic Contribution To A Great Win!

Here's my poetic contribution to a great Tiger win!
We arrived at The Swamp..downtrodden and sad
We fielded a team of young ‘uns, that’s all we had
The Florida fans figured they were in for a treat
Just another poor team for their Gators to beat
And with a renewed sense of pride
And some dogged determination
Max Johnson and his Tiger brethren
Would soon shock the SEC nation
For a bullish play here
And another one there
If not on the ground
We’d do it by air
The defense was spot on
They gave it their all
After all they’ve been through
They came to ball!
And surely we could have used
Another play or two
But alas, our drive continued
By the throw of a shoe
What a great call it was
And who would’ve thought
That we’d make a 57 yarder
To win the game by York!

With the fog and bright lights
It couldn't have been harder
But a poised Cade York
Nailed a 57 yarder
Trask eased down the field
With 21 ticks
Setting McPherson up
For an easier kick
But all for naught
It was LSU's night
The hold wasn't bad
But he shanked it wide right

To tell the gators to eat our shorts
It was a tough fought game
The fog was kinda lame
The tigers shined in purple and gold
The fog was so thick so they were not as bold
The gators were in orange and blue
Then out of nowhere they threw a shoe
Cade York came on the field with confidence
