I think this might be his last year. He just looks and sounds miserable lately. Losing his father coupled with his age and the frustration of the last two years have taken a lot out of him. He’s been successful enough in his career here to dictate his exit at this point so I wouldn’t be suprised if he bowed out.

Yeah I think losing his Dad has really messed with him. As it would for me as well. Sad situation.

Yeah, I think I am now on board with a change.

His father never missed watching a game as long as there was a way. I think they called after every game too.
He must be in a world of hurt still.
Idk what to make of it though.

The program is beginning to feel like the football program from the years 2014-2016. Just kind of trundling along....has some good players but loses in head-scratching and/or embarrassing fashion to lesser teams....the head coach just kind of grins and shrugs, saying things like "Whelp, that's baseball. Win some lose some." Some of the assistant hires have been questionable at best, and even though the fans' fervent expectations of excellence and desire to win have not lessened, there is the sense among most that those sentiments are no longer shared by the man in charge of the team.

Yes but that doesn’t explain his demeanor this season.

I’ve said more than twice I think he’s lost his Edge. It happens to everyone he looks defeated and has no fire. It’s time . He’s had a great career.

No excuse. He is a paid coach. You get your troops ready to play. You can mentally check out after the CWS

I love Paul and what he has done here just like I did with Les but it’s time... I bring him up because both guys won a championship in the beginning of their career here and after have nothing to show for but one more championship appearance that resulted in losses to in conference teams.. he’s just not getting the job done anymore. We need a younger guy who is hungry and wants to put in the extra work to make LSU what they truly are and we need better assistants. A clean slate for this staff would go a very long way to getting us back imo
