Just listened to Iowa's coach on the Tim Brando show and he seemed mainly concerned about not having tape on Jennings to prep. And by what could be assumed from his statements was that our offense was our strength and with receivers like ours, it only helps our green QB. Not to mention we are "4-deep" at running back.

Was it a while ago? Are you going to post some scratchy film?
Was it a bowl game? Because teams don't genuinely care about those games unless it is the national championship.

I feel like the OP is an Iowa fan, a big Iowa fan. That's fine. His team improved, and you guys just "don't understand Iowa football" yada yada yada.

I respect his opinion with regards to Iowa. I just don't think he really has any understanding of LSU's team. His first prediction had LSU with 13 points, someone called him on it so he changed his prediction to a score with Iowa having 30+ points...but the margin of victory remaining at 11.

If we are being reasonable and not disrespectful, and sticking to the evidence of both teams thus far then both those predictions are just trolling.

Odds of Iowa holding LSU to 13 points, when the "good" teams on their schedule averaged 29 against them.

Odds of Iowa scoring 30+ on LSU, when LSU allowed only Bama and a healthy Georgia team to do so, and Iowa has only mustered that feat 3 times, twice being against substandard competition.

Odds of Iowa notching a double digit victory over LSU when LSU in 9 years under Miles averages less than 1 10+ point loss per year, while this same Iowa team was defeated by every ranked opponent they faced this season.

Lol not even close. This game is more important than kent state, uab, and furman. That's about it.

Exactly. For a school like LSU that actually competes for titles, where they finish in the final ranking doesn't mean much unless it's number 1.

Season's over, cuz. If you think what LSU's rank after the bowl game in the final poll effects anything, you're pretty dumb.

The mistake the OP made was posting a score for the game.

Outside of that, he isn't that far off with most of his post

Obviously Iowa is "playing up" in this and every bowl game but 1 in the last 15 years. They've held their own in that regard.

If Iowa wins..."LSU didn't come ready to play". If LSU wins, they were supposed to anyway.

Seen this movie before. It's this way every bowl game. BAU

I don't mind an arrogant yet informed LSU fan if they can back up their smack with some factual info. There are obviously some on this board that are respectful and knowledgeable enough to state their case while still not taking Iowa lightly.

It's the other jackholes that clearly have no idea what they are talking about and are clearly just band wagon fans. The epitome of SEC arrogance.

See that's the thing. Iowa fans on here only like the lsu fans that respect Iowa. Iowa doesn't deserve any respect. They are a middle of the road team in a middle of the road conference.

They're good enough to beat us. While I expect LSU to beat Iowa, Iowa has a team that can threaten the Tigers. It's not like no matter what LSU does, LSU will still win.

Iowa can win this game. If they have success running power right at LSU and play action to the TE it could get rough. I dont expect them to go outside on us too much

Iowa will win the game and this thread is proof of that. They believe this game is much more important than it really is.

Well of course they can. Any team can. But if lsu even plays decent the game shouldn't be close.

All of these Iowa fans are just looking for justification that their team is relevant, as evidenced by the post claiming they have a chance at being a top 10 team next year.

This thread is only proof of what a bunch of disappointed, uninformed fans think.

I think most reasonable Tiger fans realize Iowa is a threat but know that LSU should win this game. We have plenty of athleticism at the RB, WR, and CB positions, and I don't think Iowa will be able to handle that over the course of 4 quarters.

Eh it's important to both teams. I'd rather not lose back-to-back bowl games, but that's just me.

I think some of the Iowa posters have been pretty reasonable, but that post was freaking stupid.

You mean back-to-back-to-back.
