My Dad carried the ball for Northwestern State back in 58'-61'
We are both are huge LSU fans. I called him this morning to see who he is pulling for and he said...

"Well son, I am pulling for LSU until half time and the Demons for the second half"

We both laughed...I told him I would do the same!

Yes...I did the exact thing, but with a beer! I figure most of us do this exact same thing on Saturdays during football season.

My dad played football.for NSU in the early 50s and his HIgh school (Castor) didn’t even have a footfall team. Coach just saw him walking around campus at 6’3” 230 lbs and asked him to try out for the team. He made it the traveling team

Castor HS had a debate team in the early 50s. Ask your dad if that's true.

You think you'd ever hear a ULL player say something like this?

we had a few really good fb players on my hs team our senior year that had really good college careers, qb had two years carrying a clipboard in the league, couple of defensive guys play a few years in the nfl as well, the rest that played any "college ball" mostly went to latech or nsu

ETA: and both of those programs were a considerable cut above usl
