an upgrade from BYU

They're a lot better than BYU and LSU will likely have a certain level of "road game jitters". I still think the Tigers will win and don't understand why this is a fashionable upset pick.

Fear is the enemy son!

Get a grip.

Focus on the positive, not the negative.

I think our defense makes the difference. They just don't have the weapons. Would feel better with a Lawrence and Herron

Lawrence isn't playing because Orgeron and Aranda are comfortable in this game without him, so he can just get healthy, IMO. Tech still ran for 239 yards on this team taking away the 87 yard kick-ball TD.

Not worried, but more interested in seeing how much LSU will need to reveal offensively.

13-15 games in a season. The amount of games a team would have to win to be national champions or at least to make an appearance in the finals.

I think our WR group can exploit their Dbs. Imo their front 7 is good. I heard a podcast where they ?'d how good guice really was. Said that in all the games where he got most the carries only 2 teams had rushing Defenses lower than 80th in the country. I hope he goes off on state but I think they will load the box and that's when Etling will have a chance to go off on their secondary

You're right. You can only win a NC with an elite QB... the likes of Jacob Coker, Cardale Jones, A.J. McCarron, Matt Flynn, etc. could never win NCs...

Unless you are a playmaker or Bama, you aren't winning shite. A playmaker doesn't need the best stats, but needs to make clutch and dynamic plays. Not only was Cardale a playmaker, he had the element of suprise. Nobody knew anything about this dude until the postseason. Flynn was on a team with 2 losses (they would have to expand the playoffs before that shite EVER happens again). Wth that said, he was also a playmaker. He definitely wasn't efficient, but his 25 total TDs (4 rushing) in only 13 games, is the most we've had from a QB in a decade.

Unless you are Bama, you need a playmaker

Other requirements are;
A strong run game
At least average defense
