Fun to see a miracle moment in amateur athletics. Probably ain’t a lot of NIL money thrown around that locker room. Had you told me they were a D-II team I would have believed you. Hope they make some noise in Omaha.

I think some people are confusing sliding late with not sliding to the bag. The runner clearly slid late to make it hard on the defense to turn two. That's not illegal. He also slid directly into the bag. Sure, it was the inside of the bag. But you don't have to slide to the exact middle of the bag, just directly to the bag.

He definitely didn’t slide directly into the bag. You can split hairs about how far inside he was, but it was 100% not direct
