Most under rated least talked about LSU player heading into the season...

Has to be Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
Everyone wants to talk about the passing game, but you want to pass the ball because you can, not because you have to. CEH rushed for 658 yards last year and a 4.5 average. That's not bad, not great, by SEC running back standards. CEH actually had more yards per carry than Brossette.
The highest and best use for CEH, and his best chance in the pros, would be as a third down back using screen passes to get him in space. The Saints have always been one of the best screen pass teams in football, maybe with Brady LSU can figure out how to execute the screen pass. For whatever reason LSU has struggled to throw screens, Guice was very underused as a receiver (CEH actually reminds me of Guice a bit)
I assume CEH will start as the every down back, and he is good enough to do that. One of the most interesting things to watch this season will be who is first off the bench to sub for CEH.
For all the hype about how physical a runner he is, Curry did not seem SEC ready last year. Leonard Fournette and Travis Etienne had impressive freshman seasons, so running back is a position some freshmen can excel at.
One of the major plot lines this year will be to see which running back emerges behind CEH as first sub and if CEH can be supplanted as the starter. Emery and Price are going to be hard to hold off.
For now its CEH. He might be hard to dislodge. It will be interesting to see if CEH has stepped up his game, he was a solid player last year.

I think it's Todd Harris Jr. or which ever player steps into the John Battle role at Safety. Battle was an important player last year in our defense because he could play centerfield and cover while allowing Delpit to wreck havoc in the box. Harris/Monroe or somebody else is going to have to step up.

Emory and CEH line up in backfield, CEH shifts from backfield to a receiver, slot, flanker, etc. Creates total mismatch for one of our receivers while Emory is a strong running threat. NIGHTMARES for any defense.

How is CEH on a corner a total mismatch?
ETA: even against a linebacker I think he’s at a severe disadvantage

If CEH can get the ball and turn upfield, he has some nasty moves. The tape on Emery had him lining up wide a few times with solid hands. Being familiar with that should be an advantage

CEH's strength as a running back is his lateral motion, he changes direction very fast. Backs like that do well in space.
That's why he would do well in the screen game. No matter where he lines up he isn't going to be covered by a corner, it would be a linebacker or safety.
At 5' 9" 215 lbs, CEH is stout for a smaller guy and not the easiest guy for a corner to tackle. I have no idea why you think CEH would be at a severe disadvantage with a linebacker. I think if you run plays that get CEH in space with a linebacker, its the linebacker who would be at a disadvantage.
I am not arguing CEH is some all SEC running back or that Emery and Price might not be more talented backs. I am just observing that CEH is not talked about much and with a year starting under his belt could be more valuable to the team than people think.

I only quote that for an example, not to single you out....
Most LSU fans that post on message boards are all giddy about Davis and Emery.
I think I’m that excited about Curry. Kid looks to be a punishing RB that can carry 20+ (I know he wont) times a game. I expect him to have the type of season (600 yards, 7 TD) CEH had last season as far as numbers go and that would be considered a damn good RFr year, IMO
Curry isn’t getting some of the spotlight he deserves

Jacoby Stevens hasn’t gotten a lot of talk.

Well I have not given up on Curry. He was just a freshman last year. I was just observing that there was a lot of hype about what a beast Curry was coming into the season last year, and in the few opportunities he got, he didn't look SEC ready.
Its understandable LSU fans might have higher expectations for Emery and Davis than Curry. Emery was the number 2 rated rb in the country last year, Davis number 8. Curry was much lower rated. That doesn't mean Curry wont be better than the two freshmen, time will tell. Based on what I saw of Curry last year, I hope one or both of our freshman are more SEC ready than he was as freshmen.
Its a great debate to be having. Last year rb was a real question mark for this team.
And to be fair, at the end of last season Lanard Fournette has his moments. There will be a real dogfight for playing time at rb.

While I hope Davis and Emery contribute early and often, I too believe Curry could be that 'Spencer Ware', punishing type of back. Built like him, and hopefully will run like him (20+ carries) this Fall. Looking forward to hearing how he looks when practices start.

Well part of reason curry struggled was because every time he came into the game the defense sent the house. Can’t run with 8 coming at ya, it was too predictable what was gonna happen every time he entered

Davis was 8. Curry was 15. That’s really not that much of a difference
