Nice to see such a physical play by Hampton when he smoked Hurts at the end of a run in Q1. I can’t really remember Hurts taking a shot like that in any of our previous meetings. Hopefully a good sign of things to come for the freshman.

Hampton is our next great safety prospect. He comes up and lay that hat down decent and he plays good coverage. Ever since he been inserted into the lineup, we have been playing dominant defense. I'm not saying he's the reason for it but we can now play Delpit close to the line of scrimmage because of it.

It was a decent hit but damn the game was 2 days ago and we're still talking about it? If I remember correctly, Hurts was like 8 yards downfield and seemed like he was already going down. Not knocking Hampton at all, kid is a stud. I've just seen a lot stronger hits not garner this much attention...
