They may not be able to put together a 7 figure deal but Luhnow pretty much set the example on how to maximize draft value in this format and they will put together a good offer. The good news is they took a high school pitcher yesterday who dropped due to signability, and they will get him. Hopefully he chews up a lot of their savings.

Longhi signed for less than a half million. Huge difference between that and 1-2 million.

Astros wanted Marhsall from day one but because they didn't draft him until Round 21, makes it even more unlikely he signs.

Exactly.
If Latz holds his signing demands he'll be at LSU. Longhi was in love with the Red Sox and signed for way way less than his initial demands.
