I really don't understand why Miles won't just come out and say that J. Lee is not very good. I want to see him worse than anyone, but he has to be bad if they aren't playing him. I have always been a supporter of Miles, but as Dandy Don said this morning, it's becoming a difficult thing to do.....

the situation is extremely fragile, and the fans probably aren't making it any better. He has 2 QB's that have very little confidence because of a crappy OC, so Les is forced to try to salvage what he can without completely ruining them both...on the other hand, if he had dumped Crowton like he should have last year, he might not be in this spot.

Even if Lee is not performing well in practice, he can't be much worse than JJ in a game. Why not at least give him one series to see what he can do?

Miles/staff would put Lee in if they thought there would be a better outcome. Why do you people believe Miles would not play the best player? What does he have to gain by playing the worse qb? They want to win actually more than any of the fans. Their jobs actually depend on it.

Do you really expect a head coach to say that about a player? Here's your sign:

Fore, good post. And I agree. GC is staying at LSU 1 year longer than he shouldve.

I agree. If Lee were better, Miles would play him. He'd have to no matter how stubborn he is or how bad he feels for JJ. The man's job is on the line.

On Miles' to do list:

Recruit a quarterback
Get a new OC
Pimp PP for the Heisman
Oh, and win the next game

I'm not saying he needs to come out and say he's not good, but he needs to make it clear one way or the other that JJ is the man and nothing is going to change that. He continues to elude to the media and the fans that its a very close race. If it's so close why in the world wouldn't you give him a shot. There has to be more to the story.

Les's offense wasn't among the worst in the country with Lee at QB. Oh the irony. Stop taking up for Les, it's well speculated that he has some sort of self-righteous issue affecting his decision on Lee.

agree that it is fragile, however the fans DO NOT KNOW to what extent. maybe there is no way to know but Miles isn't doing himself any favors be the way he is handling this. he's stating simply that he is playing the qb that gives the team the best chance to win and then this qb almost causes the team to lose. granted it was not all his fault but the fans see the qb and are not happy and they see another guy that isn't given a chance. you are stating that crowton is the one responsible for ruining our guys confidence. if that is true and miles knows it, crowton has to go NOW. it is inexcusable for miles to keep crowton another minute if he is ruining their confidence.

How can they not given JLs play so far ?

Because of all the wise decisions he's made in the recent past ?

He preserves, in his perception, his dignity.

Apparently not.

Your logic requires the reader to completely ignore JLs performances so far.

You name 2 of JJs passes that were better thrown balls than the slant to RR in Vandy and the swing pass to SR against WV....

I know what you mean!

After the winning percentages put up by the coaches before Miles that were here 5 years, his almost 80% is really hard for me to support.
