Miles is not a great coach but he's solid. Can't replace solid until he fricks up beyond belief.

The pool available (with little risk) to replace him is pretty small. He would need a 6 loss season, which is still possible this year and next, to get shown the door.

When Miles loses the team, he must go. He is a lucky gambler. I believe our talent level is great. The running of the game....seems to be the trouble. Miles must have his mind....somewhere else, rather than time and game management. How long has it been since we had a Southern HC??

Looks like he's close to that point with this group. They definitely looked like they didn't want to compete vs Ole Miss, and wanted to be elsewhere in the first half of last nights game. If they don't show up vs Bama, then it's official.

Saban lost 21-0 at home to an inferior bama team. Why wasn't he shown the door?

He actually lost 31-0, but the program was in a much much different place than it is now.

I think it's talking about 2002 before LSU became an elite program

A HORRIBLE night all around. The temp was in the 40's and the wind was blowing. Bama just slammed it down LSU'S throat. They had like a 98 yd drive and RAN every play. ZERO passes. It was horrible. BUT on a good note. THAT game is what I think made Saban realize that IF we want to be great??? We have to do what Bama just did to us.

Largely that elite program because of Miles.

Winning almost 85% of our games since 2010 and clowns here want to entertain thoughts of Miles being let go.

It does and miles was very fortunate. All I was saying is that Saban has backed into 3 of the games. He needed quite a bit of help, not like he ran roughshod over the college landscape those years

You have to wonder if these same people would have wanted Tom Osbourne gone from Nebraska after 20 years of almost winning national championships. You know, before he went 60-3 the last five years, fielding three of the greatest championship teams of all time.

One elite season from 2000 to 2004 is not a tradition.

Five elite seasons under Miles is a tradition.

This Holy Nick Saban legend some want to feed continually is laughable.

Nick was really good here, laid a solid foundation, and gave us a title, but Christ the guy couldn't even have back to back ten win seasons and his last team was forth in the SEC and had nine wins.

Miles has a 10-3 year and the retards are ready to jump off the tallest building they can find.

AND......... We [WELL I] Knew he was going pro after the 2003 seasons NC game. It was just a matter of who wanted to spen the money on him and when.

I agree here. And THEY are stupid. But to compare Miles to Saban is also stupid. had Saban had HIS mind on staying at LSU they would have won a title in 2005,2006, and 2007.

The foundation was there when Miles arrived. There was overwhelming young talent on LSU's roster.

The tradition had started.

He's done better continuing the excellent recruiting than most anticipated. Most felt he would flame out by 2008. His last few classes haven't panned out or been very overrated though.

This years class is his most important, by far.

he won a national champ with a good qb who was mobile and played smart football and i dont give a shite who recruited him. he has not had one close to him since. i think with jennings, harris our future is bright. saban is not coming back and until another emerges we have as good as anybody.
