I wonder if that could be the result of Lee's inexperience with the system last year.

Forty: 4.68 seconds

^ I doubt this

also, with high school stats:

who cares?

Jefferson never lost a game in highschool

winning > stats

he did it EVERY game

you would have thought a coach or someone could have corrected this after a game or two

Mauck stopped running with the ball after his foot injury, and that made him a better QB.

QB that can run is laniappe. Certianly not a must to win championships.

I don't care what you have noticed Doc.Flynn has a BCS championship. What does Russel have? He probably want make in the pros. for long. Lee had a lot better stats coming out of High School than JJ, and can run too I think Crowton did not want him to run very much.In his jr yr he rushed for 197 yds and passed for over 3,000 yds,

wow, after this thread and all the fighting between whether Lee or JJ should start, Im just gonna go out on a limb here and say I want Russell Shepard to win the job and wow everyone.

Knowing the system and your receivers takes time--time Lee didn't have last year.

Anyone remember watching Colt McCoy at Texas. He pretty much sucked as a freshman and look at him now. Never say never.

I didn't realize Colt McCoy and Graham Harrell also had 5 interceptions returned for 6 points.

I remember, and 5 INT TD returns in 189 attempts say that Lee's was worse.

Maybe they had an offense that could tackle.

He ran less. Keep in mind that number counts sacks as rushing attempts.

Had Lee thrown it as much as McCoy, he'd have had 53 interceptions. . .with 26 returned for TD's.

PS. . .Actually 26.5, but will give Lee the benefit of the doubt.
