This was my assessment of the QBs.
Lee played brilliant at times, down right scary when he was hitting on all cylinders. But thats just it, when he wasnt he looked awful. His mistakes cost us ball games. He also lacked confidence, swagger and that effected his leadership ability. The team didnt "play" for Lee.
Jefferson, though he didnt look brilliant, he also didnt make as many mistakes. Limited his losses and played smart on broken up plays (with his legs). It seemed he led the team better, showed more confidence and that rubbed off on the rest of the team. The team responded and worked for JJ.
At this stage, judging solely on what i saw, I would have to take Jefferson at this point. But dont count out the man with the chip on his shoulder and something to prove (Lee). He was thrown in the fire with alot of pressure. He has alot to prove, and Im sure if he's a competitor at all, he's been working extremely hard to improve on his mistakes and earn back his spot. Its a new year, so lets wipe the slate clean and let the race begin (again).

Crowton will use a duel-QB system, or even a tri-QB system this year.
Thanks Coach Bad Cat, Your the smartest guy here.

As for the QB situation, hopefully each player has a shot so all 3 can compete hard and end up being the best they can.
Amen brother!

Back to rational thinking. It sounds good to me.

If JJ would have played all year, our record would have been the same maybe worse. When he got a chance to play early in the season he didn't do much. He just plaryed good for 1 half in rhe Arkansas game and half of the Bowl game, and our defense helped out a lot in that game. They looked like they finally woke up,kinda late, but better than never.
Don't you see what you're doing? You're speculating on what would have been, when you nor I, have a clue. But yet, you criticize and oppose other posters to the depths of Hades for commenting (sometimes harshly) on the past performance of a player.
There's a difference that either you don't get, or you get all too well, and you're instigating the very criticism of the player that you are trying to defend.
Just back up and think on it for a while. J.L. will be fine.
I've made an observation about J.L.'s performance...I was swiftly corrected when I was wrong.
Give it some thought, and peace.

All I am saying is that he is not perfect. Some posters want to declare him the starter, but he made mistakes too,Lee was not the only one. They are both young, and inexperienced, but Doc and others want to slam Lee and crown him the starter.
I'm not trying to wear you out or bring you over to my side. My side is not important, if it even exists.
You're Lee's biggest fan, I'll give you that much.

Tojo,
I don't think this whole "rational thinking/posting on a internet messageboard" thing is for you..
Why do you get so offended at my opinion? Why does that upset you so much?

Why is this a 15-page thread?
Miles has said the QB situatio isn't settled every year he's been at LSU. Why would this year be different?

With the competitive talent and experience level at QB, Miles has never had a starting QB coming back without questions to be answered on the practice field.

Has anyone said that?

:kige:
and miles will not say who the starter is the rest of the year.
he will give the same answer:
"All of our QB's will be ready to go and we will have a good competition between all of them blah blah blah"
if he did it with jamarcus and matt, he's going to do it with every QB. Makes all QB's involved better IMO, because he knows they are all going to push each other, and that's always good for the team.

13 pages??? unbelivable. And all the lee supporters still fail to come up with one legit reason for him to start. Instead of coming up with a reason, they try to drag jefferson down with them. unbelievable
who is saying Lee should start?
ok, nevermind. i see a couple.

I think most JL supporters (which I am one)tend to see the situation JL was put in. We acknolweldge the fact that he struggled at times, but also remeber the fact thathe also threw for almost 1900yrds, and completed 60% of his passes...
No one is dragging JJ down.
To say that JJ didnt have the pressure on his shoulders in his two starts as JL did in his is a FACT.
To say JJ had MEDIOCRE at best 2nd halves vs ark and gtech is a FACT.
After JL's first 2.5 games (AU, MSU, fla) most LSU fans were as excited about him as was JJ in his first 2.5 games(OM, ark, Gtech),,if you weren't you should have been simply for the fact of numbers and W's,, which JL's were superior to JJ's, in both categories.
The lack of pregression by JL was bothersome... however as ive stated before this WHOLE team went backwards last season... not just JL.
I expect this spring and fall to be very interesting and I for one dont know who will take honors as do noe of you.... there is nothing wrong with having a favorite, but dont do it in a manner that degrades the other guy..
Its a douchebag move on those part who choose to act that way.
