you think shep will be given a chance to earn the starting spot?
and for the love of all that is sacred, please at least spell shepard's last name right.

The bottom line is this:
Jordan showed something in his limited playing time that Lee failed to show all season. . . improvement.
Love him or hate him, the Lee you saw vs. Appy was the same Lee you saw against Ole Miss. Jordan came out against Ga Tech and led the team to our most decisive victory of the season, against a ranked opponent. He looked like a leader. Lee looked like a leader at times, but mostly looked very, very lost.
In a perfect world, RP would not have been such a fricknut and JL would have spent this season getting 2nd team snaps. After RP went pro, maybe Lee comes in and plays like Bad Cat and others think he can. Who knows? Prognosticating based on potential is fun, but fruitless.
As it stands right now, I feel Jefferson has the spot locked up unless something remarkable happens for Lee or Shepard.

Botton line still is this...most Rantards view the world through biased lenses...didn't check the spelling for you nerds...thank goodness we have coaches that have Millions riding on their decisions and will do what's right for LSU, no matter the reality...and JJ and JL will both get a chance to show if they have made the necessary adjustments to lead the LSU offense or not next year...Shep will get his chances to show what he can bring to the table...then, by mid season, let the best man/athlete win and lead the team to a NC!!!! Go Tigers!

If Georga Tech could shutdown J.J. in the second half, I wonder if SEC defenses could do the same.

Everything will be fine... We have a nice stable of qb's... Competition will bring out the best in these guys... We will be fine!!!

was jefferson given a legit shot at the starting QB spot at the beginning of the season?
Yes he was. Remember the Miss. St game where he fumbled on the goal line? Or in the 2nd game where he was off target on a few of his throws?
He was given a chance and made inexperienced mistakes while he was in the game. He didn't come on until towards the end of the season.
Jefferson did improve dramatically and played like the type of QB LSU needed all season. But he was given a shot at the beginning of the season...
Jefferson will be QB in 2009. Maybe a two QB system with Shepard similar to 07?

"Jarret Lee experienced a year's worth of college life dealing with college studies, the football playbook with its new terminology and practice schedule."
Yeah and look how good he did on the field to show what he had learned

"JJ played bad some times too."
When? When he was throwing pick 6s? Throwing to no one in particular? Throwing to people who were double covered in overtime? Oh wait, those were all JL things i just mentioned. I'm not saying he played perfect, if that was the case, we would have won the ole miss and arkansas game. But come on, he didn't play bad

I don't see how JJ and RS in the backfield can be avoided. Two QB's where both can run...its like an extra player on the field. I don't see how this is even an option.

So, just to clarify--you think the gap between Jordan Jefferson and Jarett Lee is as wide as the gap was between Jamarcus and Matt Flynn? Cause that's what's you're saying. You might be too fricking stupid to realize it, though.
