No doubt about it. I was fuming for several days, but I'm okay now. I just cooled off about an hour ago. And I got Big L's back. Heaven only knows how this defense will perform from here on out and if they turn it around, that's good. If they don't, I'm confident Big L will make the changes necessary in the offseason that will take us back to stiff, rock hard defense.

Postpractice talk

I'm pumped about the future. These are the times when you find out who the real Miles Maniacs are. It's easy to be a Miles Maniac when we're on top, but true Maniacs have Les' back when the going gets tough as well.

I was a strong supporter of Miles from the very start, and continue to be to this day, but LSU should not allow its football team to come out of that chute on opening day next season with Peveto as a coach. And if that means that Miles has to be fired, so be it, and I hate saying that. I hate it. But keeping hold of Peveto as coach would be a cowardly act on his part.

As an unrepetent Miles Maniac, all I can do is just keep the faith that Les will do the right thing when the season ends. Please, for the love of God, fire Peveto.

Why peveto and not mallory? I was under the impression that mallory was calling the schemes and peveto was a glorified cheerleader?

This talk with reporters is just another example of why people should never get upset over anything Les says or doesn't say. Throughout the talk you can see him thinking of ways to phrase a certain answer without being too revealing or saying the wrong thing. I think that his lack of criticism of the co-DC's is not truly indicative of how he sees the situation with the defense.

i agree to a certain extent...while Coach Miles has a certain way of mincing words...he usually makes his point fairly obvious. So while he may be choosing words carefully, if he truly thought he had made a mistake on his staff I think we would have heard it a little more directly.

And I'm pretty sure he is a little more angry about having 50 hung on us twice in a month than ANY fan is...so if he thought he could remedy that problem by making a staff change, he probably would have done it by now.

"there is no one blinder that he who refuses to see"

time will tell the whole story......
we do not know the next chapters yet.

Miles will either correct things
or go down with the ship....
NO ONE knows at this time.

He broke a major rule of business and he is paying for it.....

"You always hire around you to cover your weaknesses".

D is Les's weakness as he has no experience.

Man, Miles is an awesome coach. A lot of people on here, who I respect's opinion, don't agree with that but he definitely is. He made a bad call with the D-coordinators this year. I feel it was a loyalty thing. I'm hoping he does what is best for the program this offseason and brings in a monster to run the defense. If things don't change "Malveto" could "Dinardo" Miles' career at LSU.
