But, yet, you're predicting 5 wins and the fact tRant won't have any posters. So, what happens if they lose all 5 of those games? What you gonna do?

You seem to be saying that the Cane game is important for building confidence...

However it has be the recent past history of LSU that we under perform in our first game in general against quality opponents...

I hope and pray too that we change that mentality as it will affect our performance the rest of the schedule

yep - many of you sound like Matt Branding folk that support CEO as stupid cajuns/redneck hick

for the dude that called me stupid for spelling errors - LOL

my block engineers spell well but can't do much without the support of all the stupid folk running the unit

It is true for the Baton Rouge High bunch that can't change their own oil in their BMW to think of a guy like Coach Ed Orgeron being your Head Football Coach.

You boys have it all figured out and I am going to be the pain in your arse for every win - every game CEO wins from here on out.

You have no issue with folk calling for us to lose 5 to 7 games this year but look at how you handle a thread with a LSU football fan calling for us to win 11 or 12 games.

You can't handle it and most of you would lay 10 to 1 odds against us going 12-0 !

Talk is cheap in March but just hold on until September. After we beat down the Canes come back and get yours because it will be coming from the stupid old man.

I've said all along I think the Miami team we will face is not as good as advertised and snuck up on a lot of teams last season. I've always saw that game as a win...

Auburn is also not as daunting as it seems. It is a totally winnable game and is at this point a coin flip, either way type of call.

Florida is not a good squad, they will be breaking in a new system and will not be great this first season under Mullen. That is a win.

I've also said I believe that LSU will split the two games between UGA and BAMA. Both are completely losable and I don't think we have the strength to win both of them. At this point I think this is the year we snap the losing streak to BAMA, the statement is going to be made we are back in the level of being able to compete with elite programs again.

In all reality an 0 for 5 or a 5 for 5 are both very slim possibilities. Realistically I think either a 2-3 or 3-2 record is most likely. The teams not named UGA and BAMA are being very much over hyped and it cannot be stated enough that LSU will want to make serious statements and will be overlooked a lot this year. This will enable us to take teams by surprise and will give us a better record than many think. I mean seriously, many national outlets and we'll respected minds are putting us in the conversation of being able to contend for the west and the conference title, they aren't just all wrong...

I have no clue what this means. Please explain.

This sentence makes absolutely zero sense. You're missing words or some sort of sentence structure.

So, it's ok for you to have it figured out, but not anyone else? Got it.

Yes.

I’ve had my handle since 2008 because of a ball team I played for. Didn’t know it would backfire 10 years later

Since you know football so well, what about this team and staff gives you the confidence that they can win these games? Those 5 teams are very good/getting better(minus maybe UF, but then Mullen is a good coach) while LSU seems to be on more of a decline than we were with Miles.

OK I will try to type as smart as I can

The well educated college crowd that wears the whits shirts at work can not deal with a shrimp boat man being the head coach at LSU. You guys command this board because you have the ability to break down guys like me that do make up the majority of the LSU fan base as you look down at us.

My wife is part of your crowd but she over looks my spelling as she helps me spell 8th grade level language. At 65 I can not over-come my use of the English language and I am pretty sure CEO is in the same shrimp boat with me. What I know is that I am not stupid and I command a great deal of respect on the job for my knowledge in a very complicated industry.

I related to CEO and I enjoy his honest approach to coaching and that is why I think he does well in recruiting. I will let this go until after the spring game and come back to post my thoughts of what I saw.

It is just a game but most of you take most of the joy out of talking football on a LSU football sports forum.

Makes sense. Only people related to him would believe anything he says at this point.
