While still early in his career, the player that keeps coming to mind when I watch him is Jamarcus Russell. While not as heavy, his arm and size are very similar. I will say jrock did have a much faster release and a tad bit more arm streangth but metts is improving. Good comparison?

J-Russ scouted as the best arm strength that Kiper had ever seen.

Only in their physical build. Mett does not appear to be an interception machine, a pussy, or a locker room cancer.

He moves, walks, sort of looks like and kind of throws like Tom Brady.

Have any examples?

And don't go point out the interceptions he has. He has 4 picks, but he is not an interception machine. The fumbles, well, I'll give you that.

Football IQ, general IQ and dedication to improvement all make ZM a far, far better QB than Russell (though in a college game plan designed around his skill set JR was truly a beast 80% of the time). Keep reminding yourself that he's just 10 games into his college football career, and after about 7 the game started slowing down for him and his ability to make decisions and execute got massively better.

I actually agree with this. I'm not saying he's on his level, but he reminds me of Brady a lot in the way he carries himself. He's just a lanky, semi-goofy looking dude.

Oh yeah, I wasn't talking about his play.

I have also made the Jamarcus comparison, so I agree with the OP.

You're ruling him out as an NFL quarterback already? If he plays the way he has the last 2 weeks all next season, he will be a first rd. pick.

Let me know when Mett has his daddy call Les to complain about his son getting knocked down.
