Mettenberger was inactive in 1st game with AAF Memphis Express!

Can't believe HC Mike Singletary played Christian Hackenberg(10/23 87yds 1 Int) and Brandon Silvers(3/4 22yds 1 Int) at QB over Mettenberger in a 26-0 loss to Birmingham. He even had Mettenberger in-active. Guess he hasn't learned much since being fired from the 49ers. Hope he comes to his senses soon.

I could care less what Memphis does. I hope the LSU guys have success so they can make it to the NFL but not gonna root for Memphis because they have LSU guys on the team. Would you root for Bamer because they have Louisiana guys on the team? I root for the Saints and not just the NFL team with the most former LSU guys on their team. Besides, who decided Memphis gets the LSU players anyway? What if they add a team in Shreveport? It might be different if it was only LSU players and maybe an LSU or Louisiana connected coach.

Yeah I don't see these two things as the same at all. Memphis isn't the arch enemy of my favorite sports team on the planet.

The point I was making is that we have no ties to Memphis other than former players. Do you root for the Giants because of OBJ or just root for OBJ? Can someone give me the stats for the LSU guys in the past game?

Well, 2 things IMO...
1. I already have a rooting interest in the NFL so I don't need another team. This is a new league and rooting for former Tigers is a good way to enjoy it since there is no team near me in BR.
2. OBJ is just one player on the Giants vs 8 or so on the Memphis squad.

I guess people living in Louisiana should have no rooting interest in MLB either based on your crazy logic.

Eh, I'm guessing Mett had an injury or there's something else going on. His NFL numbers were much, much better than Hackenberg's. In fact, Hackenberg was so terrible in preseason games, that he was demoted to 4th string before being cut. Mett was at least an NFL starting QB for 10 games.
