A catastrophe of a meet. Started with the injury in the 4x400 in regionals, then just went downhill from there.

Man I’m a past track athlete myself and it pains me this week watching this, this is pathetic to see, and it’s not like the talent is not there, it’s the lack of focus and no heart on the men’s side, well I should say the sprinters, we had the field doing a good job so far, but can’t tell me an high school track coach couldn’t do better, hell an AAU summer coach can motivate better than this.

It sucks because so and so had so much promise. The good thing is with so and so coming back, and the new recruits we have a good chance next year.

Nothing gets on my nerves more than a person or team getting to a championship round or game or event or whatever it is and just start beating their/them selves. This is the point focus should be at an all-time high. Dropping a baton is a clear case of no focus, no intensity, lack of mental toughness, there is no excuse for it. If the other person/team is just better and you've given your all, there's no shame, there's no defeat, but to beat yourself like this, it's a shame. Hopefully the ones coming back next season will use this to motivate them, make them focus more. It's like they work so hard to get there and that in their minds is the pinnacle of success, it's not, it's a great step in the right direction, but the pinnacle is winning the NC. But, these are young people we are talking about, so hopefully they learn from this.

JuVaughn Harrison just won the HJ with a height of 7-5 3/4. Will put LSU in 5th for the time being but without any more events to score.

Yes, 5th place with one more event to go. LSU did not qualify in that event. dnf at regionals.
