Does anyone know if a pennant was made for either of the two Bluebonnet Bowls LSU appeared in? 1963 and 1972.

Context- I collect them and now have 38 of the 53 bowl game pennants from the games LSU participated in. I've never seen the Bluebonnet Bowl ones....just wondering if anyone- maybe some of you other old timers like me-has.

just might have to get lucky with an E-bay offering. That's how I got my 1968 Peach Bowl pennant.

I was also a collector of Tiger bowl pennants. I have never seen a bluebonnet bowl pennant.

No sir, not selling. I probably have the same ones you do.

83 Orange
78 Liberty
85 Sugar
87 Sugar
87 Gator
68 Peach
95 Indy
97 Indy
96 Peach
2000 Peach
2002 Sugar
2003 Cotton
2004 Sugar
2007 BCS

and newer

I think I have another Orange and a 60's Sugar. Was collecting programs too, so I may have a few mixed up.

The 1983 Orange and 68 Peach always get sold like the are rare finds, but those were the easiest ones for me to find over and over again. It seems like someone reproduced them in the early 2000's, or hit a honey hole of unused pennants in storage or something.

I've never seen the Chic Filas, the Cap Ones/Citrus, the Music City or the 2015 Texas Bowl either

ETA- Here are the 14 I don't have:
36 Sugar
37 Sugar
38 Sugar
44 Orange
63 Cotton
63 Bluebonnet
72 Astro Bluebonnet
05 Chic Fil A Peach
10 Cap One
12 Chic Fil A
14 Music City
15 Texas
16 Citrus
18 Citrus

I also have 14 of our 18 CWS Appearances...need 86,87,89, and 90

Have 2/3 Final Fours....Need 81

If anyone has any of those, I'd sure like a shot at buying them....

I’ll keep an eye out for those.

I see a site called worthpoint auctions a lot of pennants and memorabilia. Some good stuff there.

I think they’d be very fun to collect, but I resisted the urge. You’ve got to protect them, so you either have to frame them, which would cost a fortune (probably around $150-$200 apiece), and demands all your wall space, or put them away, which defeats the purpose.

So they hold up well outdoors? I assume its Covered but the humidity had to be rough on felt.

My favorite thing about Old Pennants is a lot of them have periods between the LSU which you don’t see anymore.

They do make pennant covers. All mine are in covers. I will be letting my collection go in the near future. Age is creeping in. Will be selling most of it on ebay, item by item. I've got all kissing winds of memorabilia.
