Kansas will never be a real threat to hurt LSU recruiting. He might pull a few kids LSU is backburnering as last minute backup plans but that's about it. Still, Louisiana and East Texas are full of kids who aren't getting offered by LSU, aTm, or TX but could shine at Kansas. (Louisiana's obscene riches at defensive back really come to mind. Over 50 Louisiana natives on active NFL rosters as DBs.) Les puts that Kansas hat on the table for an assload of talented kids.
Bad for Arkie, bad for TCU. Maybe slightly bad for Oklahoma?

do too, but the goofy shite gets old
It wasn’t his goofiness/quirkiness that got old. It was his refusal to adapt his offense to modern CFB.
I loved having a coach with a personality that was light and seemed like a guy who you’d want to hang out with in a setting outside of football

Yet O has numerous supporters on here and the offense is worse and looks antiquated.

I think Les and Ed are a wash in personality. Both seem very likeable, relateable guys. The way that 2015 standing ovation was characterized as an overwhelming endorsement of bringing Les back kind of left a sour taste for me but in hindsight I can't blame that on Les. If I get fired from a $4mil/yr job you'll need a truck to drag my arse out the door.

God damn I love Les... why couldn't you just change the damn offense
If folks on The Rant would stop obsessing over him I would not give him a second thought ever.
He accomplished a great deal but he still left wins and championships on the table. Hearing him speak could be torturous.
Gook luck Les.

I would and could go through each sentence and answer individually, but you have no interest in "how our situation is better." You just know Les won alot of games in his career at LSU and Orgeron was horrible as head coach of Ole Miss. Therefore we would be in a similar or better situation if Les were still our coach.
The fact that Les went two years without a job before taking one of the worst in America only shows how much dumber than you the entire football world is.

1. I'd rather les than saban.
Saban has got the best Louisiana guys 5 years running.
2. Poach is terminology related to the Lord's English manor and his deer. No one owns the players.

So glad we don't have to put up with his stupid shite anymore.
quote:O told me all he needed to do was a few offensive tweaks and it'd be ships.
How many did you expect to have in all the years Orgeron has been LSUs head coach?
These tweaks got us from 32.8ppg in '15, to 28.3 in '16, then 27.2 in '17 and LOL in '18.
Ed's 2018 offense makes 2009, Miles worst LSU offense, look not so shabby.
2009 lost to #1, #3, #9 and #20 combined by less than 2018 lost to Bama alone, 23-29.
