Winning covers up a lot of ugly but man have my eyes been opened to what a terrible overall product MBB has become. When things are right, MBB is one of the best sports values in town. When they are not, you see how bad of a product it is.

PMAC is in desperate need of a remodel. The concessions concourse may have no equal. Absolutely awful.

Entertainment during timeouts and halftime are awful. Same sad, played out routines. No creativity. If I watch one more musical chair at halftime, my head may explode. Dan Borne's commentary just ups the creepiness ante.

Coach/players show no emotion or passion. To be the MBB coach at LSU, you have to be part carnival barker. You have to generate interest bc it doesn't come naturally to this fanbase. McMahon, bless his heart, offers nothing in this regard.

Music during timeouts/halftime generates zero energy. Of course, hard to get energized when you are losing by 20. Just because the Narcos song is a hit when a Latin reliever comes out of the bullpen in NYC, doesn't mean it will have the same effect at a basketball game South Louisiana

I agree...but doesn't seem to be hurting the women's team.

I haven’t been to every home game this year but I’m a season ticket holder and I don’t recall them doing this once this year.

They did have the some middle school team play a scrimmage once and it was actually a solid viewing experience.

I haven’t seen scott Woodward at one men’s basketball game this year . I’ve seen him at football , seen him at womens , I’m sure he will be at baseball . He just doesn’t seem to care much about our men’s basketball program

It is NEVER a good product when you are getting your brains beaten in. But, before this last 3 week stretch of games, the crowd really showed up for the SEC opener vs. Arkansas. It was a mid-week game during the semester break and still had a solid crowd. I was hopeful that was going to carry over for the remainder of the season. Then after an encouraging effort at Kentucky, LSU looked like they couldn't care less about getting their asses kicked at A&M, before following up with an incredibly boring mid-week loss to Florida. That was followed by three straight 20+ point blowout losses (two at home) which killed any ounce of momentum the Arkansas game/win generated.

You have to win, and win consistently at LSU to generate consistent crowds in MBB. Even Wade struggled to get good crowds early in the season because of lack of name brand opponents. However, I think the fans really wanted to support McMahon. But when you are getting beat badly with a coach that just stands on the sideline completely emotionless both when his team performs well and when they are on the wrong end of a bad call, it just doesn't generate much excitement in the program.

Others called McMahon the "white Trent Johnson" after Saturday's game. I'm not ready to go there just yet, but it was hard to ignore some of those same feelings. And absolutely atrocious offense that struggles to reach 50 in a completely half-court game. A HC that shows almost no emotion at any point during the game.

Thank God! We have another MBB post. The 3-fitty threads before were not quite enough. You saved the day by starting another one with ZERO new thoughts.

People who post these complaints are not basketball fans. I don’t care about anything but the basketball.

That said, I do wish the nachos were better though. Had some good popcorn a couple of games ago.
