MD is that tough/scrappy team that can bother us. Belmont might have been running low on gas by Saturday but their stuff is hard to guard. Tough draw either way but we got this!

Smith for Maryland had 8 offensive rebounds. Definitely need to contain Smith and Fernando down low.

This game will be equivalent to the Florida and Arkansas games we played this year. Our boys has enough experience from those games to pull out the W.

I think our fate depends on how agressive the refs allow us to play. If we get in foul trouble early it’ll be tough to put out the W. Since this isn’t an SEC game I think we will be ok.

I watched Yale/LSU game again and the reason for Yale's comeback was mostly due to poor assignment defense especially on transitions.

Naz and Bibgy's men beat them down the court several times. This caused other guys such as Mays, Taylor and Smart to leave their assignments and get beat. As good and important as Naz is on the offensive end he is a liability on the defensive end. That's why I keep preaching that Days needs more playing time and Naz needs less. Days is only playing 4 minutes a game since Florida and Yale. Days averaged 10 minutes a game. Naz is playing 30+ minutes a game since Florida and Yale. That is significantly above his season average of about 23 minutes per game for the season.

I love Naz but he is a defensive liability when he gets slightly tired.

He needs less playing time which will result in higher quality court play. He will get is points and rebounds, he will just get them with less minutes and fewer mistakes (missed defensive assignments and turnovers).

Offensive production does not decrease when Days is in the game. He can score and he is a better defender. Naz is a better rebounder.

IMO the potential for Naz to get into foul trouble against Maryland's bigs is higher than normal. This is actually a good thing. It will force coach Benford to sit Naz and play Days. His minuets will be of higher quality. He will have more energy on transition defense.
