Says he wants to be a more hands on coach again, working with QBs, etc. Says he will listen to anyone that is interested in him.

I know he and his family love Athens, so it may be tough to pull him away. He sounds torn right now.

Would be a perfect fit for LSU. The guy who helped develop David Greene, Matt Stafford, Aaron Murray.

I doubt Les would have the gumption to interfere with a QB coach/OC who has that kind of track record and has also been a HC in the SEC himself. Would have to be an arrogant SOB to tell a coach like Mark Richt how an offense should be run.

Richt will be a head coach somewhere not an OC or QB coach

i just don't know

seemed like georgia's offense struggled once the rb went down..

but then again when the hc focuses solely on coordinating they seem to be better so i would be okay with it

He already has heavy influence over a former NFL OC.

He'd be a great OC. Thus why we'd never get him.

The man literally just said otherwise.

Maybe you're right, but I'm just repeating what he said.

He would be a perfect OC hire, but it won't happen.

I'd love Richt to be the next OC at LSU. National Championahip @ FSU as OC. Also, when Georgia was winning their SEC championships, Richt called plays. I'd love for Les to bring him in.

I think I like the sound of it..

Would he be on the sidelines though?

I really believe that it's better for a coodinator to be on the sidelines and more hands on.. I believe it makes a big difference in the entire mentality and holding players more responsible.

I understand there may be examples of great coordinators in the booth, but I still prefer guys hands on out there on the field.. especially if the HC is not a QB or defensive guru.

Yeah, he's definitely torn. That's easy to see. Who knows though. Crazier things have happened.
