Much agreed!! Brooks sill be a standout on a defense with a LOT of experience coming back. I’m just hoping our new DC will be as creative with him as I believe Aranda would have been.

Where? He was probably my favorite player from last years class, but much like Jacoby Stevens, I’m not sure he has a true position yet and may take a while for them to figure out to best utilize him. Speaking of Jacoby, it seems like Brooks would fit the role he played last year. However, Stevens is coming back. And Aranda was the brains behind that hybrid role, and he’s gone. Still love Brooks and he will make a ton of plays next year, but I think it may take till year 3 before he and the staff find the perfect role for him to flourish enough to be an AA.

He's in a really weird spot. He doesn't even weigh 200 lbs, yet he can come off the edge better than anyone else on the team.
I know he's fast for an edge rusher but how fast is he. That is, could he take over for Delpit? With Stevens as an OLB and Todd Harris/Mo Hampton at the other safety?

Again, brother I don’t hate you as much as we have disagreed and I’ve always agreed with you on this one. He seems like a box safety to me but the coaches like him at OLB.
I honesty think his best position would be a 3-4 weak olb.

Same here. It seemed like Divinity was playing his rush spot. Brooks started getting a lot more playing time when Divinity was kicked off the team, and it seems like the coaches preferred Divinity in rush situations for some reason. I thought Brooks was an upgrade personally. Divinity had his moments as a pass rusher the last couple of years, but Brooks looked a lot better in limited time.

I’m big on Flott too.
Really liked what I saw in the Bama game. They were mounting their comeback and had all momentum. And there was freshman Flott talking shite & relishing the moment. Perfect attitude and love his length
