-No more back counting schollies
-10th on field coach is coming
-If recruiting a player from High School A, their HC cannot work any summer camps at your institution. Gone are the days of a coach packing up 5-10 players and taking them out of state for a summer camp, more than likely.
-Early signing day on 3rd Wednesday of December
-If you have recruited player A, a college cannot hire player A's coach until a 2 year window has closed.
-July could become a dead period, eliminating many big time camps around the country.

Why was Orgeron opposed to the early signing period?

Some of those are really good. A couple I don't like:

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but wouldn't that essentially prevent just about every high school coach from being considered for a college coaching position? At least locally.

Let's take Catholic's coach for example. I'm sure every year he has at least 1 player being recruited by all the local colleges.

Don't like the hiring of HS coaches ban. Not because of recruiting but that might stop a coach from getting to college coaching because he has a good HS program.

Not sure I agree with this one. Kids are in school until mid-late May and then the season starts in August. What this means is EVERYONE will be competing for the same recruits to attend their June camps. It will be a shite show.

He could still coach, just not at the institution his best players are going to.

For example, Marcus Randall is the coach at Southern Lab. He has a player that is committed to play for Alabama - there's nothing that says Marcus can't join the staff at Mississippi State or something of that nature. Good coaches will still move up the ranks.

Early Signing Day was once the First Saturday in December. There was a time when LSU signed almost everyone on the Early Signing Day.

I could be wrong, but I read it meaning if player A was actually at college X then college X could not hire his HS coach within the 2 yr period. College Z would be free to even if they recruited player A. I know it's not written exactly that way, but it's the only way that makes sense to me.

When is this coming? I feel like we're gonna need this to get all our coaches in place for 2017.
