I was probably more of a Jordan Jefferson fan than most, but also got frustrated with him. I know he got in some trouble and deserves some blame for NC game.

Still as a fan always appreciated the family who sent three players who helped us win many games, says a lot.

Still, I was BLOWN away by the interview he did with Mikie Mahtook yesterday. I URGE any Tiger fan to listen to any part of it and not come away feeling this is a 32 year old young man we all can proud of. Holy cow, he grew into a great young man. Props to him and his family,

Not sure why anyone expected a 12 year old to win a natty.

I’m pretty sure JJ is older than 23. Just a hunch though

It really is crazy when you think about it that a single family had 3 kids that all became such high level athletes with Justin obviously on another level there.

Props to that entire family for sticking with LSU for so many years

He comes from a great family that loves LSU when no one would blame them if they didn’t. Similarly, Brandon Harris would also probably impress you in the same way, he’s working his way up the coaching/FO ladder rather quickly. Not sure why people conflate being a bad QB with being a bad person but that’s the internet for you

He also got Into a bar fight and talked enough shite to a security guard to get the cops called when he was smoking weed with Tyrann Matthieu.

I think Justin's career removed any ill will he would have against LSU

They really took a flyer on Justin who had zero offers and it paid off

interesting how we have threads where people are praising players of past generations for their bar fights, even throwing pinball machines at cops, yet are quick to label JJ a 'bad person' because of one bar fight and smoking some weed.

With Jefferson it was the brawl at Shady's that got him suspended and then getting arrested with Mathieu in 2012 that probably had something to do with his reputation. It wasn't just because he was a bad QB.

But like Mathieu it seems he got older and more mature, I for one am glad to see it.

He also polarized the locker room, never took any blame, and thought he could do everything Mike Vick could.

JJ was never the talent we were lead to believe. He did not work hard, study, etc. Fights at a bar. Rumors of smoking dope all the time. No real development from the staff. It all added up. Glad he is going well now.

I don’t Start those threads though.

And it’s not smoking weed, it’s being a dick to a security guard to the point he called the cops on him.

I (and none of you) really know what he was like in the Locker room, but no matter what he did in college, I cannot imagine anyone who listens to the whole interview not being proud of who he has become.

I sat in Vandy's stadium and watched JJ be completely unable to throw an accurate pass to a receiver that was wide open and one yard down the field. That was again and again. That's not Mile's fault.

As far as Lee goes, he was a very talented QB who looked well coached. His problem was that when the big boys came out to play he didn't want the ball anywhere near himself. Again, that's not Mile's fault.

He's a good representative of LSU's football program.

He beat a Nick Saban coached Alabama twice. How many QBs in college football history can say that ?
