Lunardi had Kentucky as a 1 seed and Tenn as a 2 seed

This tells me that we would be a 3 seed right now and that the SEC is slated for a 1,2, and 3 seed for our top 3 right now. This means u win out through regular season and beat UK in tourney championship and u have a shot them giving us the 1 seed and Kentucky the 2. While I would love a 1 seed....with this team I would almost rather go into the tourney as a 2 or 3 with the feeling of them being slighted to where they go in with a chip on their shoulder with something to prove rather than the pressure of being a 1 seed where u are supposed to win and advance. Gonna be a fun ride either way and can’t wait to see it play out to see how far this team can go!!!

LSU should pretty firmly be a 3 seed. While they shouldn't be above UK/UT (as of today) based on overall resume, if UK and UT are a 1/2, then the committee would have to take quite a leap to put LSU below a 3 when LSU has 1. a very similar record as the two teams; 2. head to head wins over both; and 3. is "tied" in overall SEC standings with ~80% of conference play in the books.
Anything otherwise would show clear bias based on past program performance.

1 seed is out of reach my man.
Duke, UVA, UK, and Gonzaga will be your 1’s.
Even if we win the SECt and beat UK, theg have wins over UNC, and Kansas, had we beat Houston or FSU, we may be in contention.
2 seed is in play. Michigan and UNC are your 2 seed locks. You have two more spots, right now which are likely Tennessee and Michigan St. If we win out, get to sunday and lose to UK, and UK beats Tenn next weekend, we can likely slide into Tennessees 2 seed spot.
But there isn’t much difference in a 2 and 3, the big one is avoiding a 4, and not having to face a Duke or Gonzaga until the Elite 8

I'd actually argue a 2 seed could be disadvantageous versus a 3. If we make it to a 2 seed, we might be a "lower" 2 seed versus a "higher" 3 and placed in a Duke or Zag bracket.

Tennessee won't be a 2 seed. UK will beat them again and they will lose early in SEC tourney.

1 seed is absolutely out of reach. We have two top 25 wins. Big wins but resume as a whole is lacking. Its not doing us any favors that a USCe team that went 5-7 OOC is in 4th place. Our Auburn and Miss State wins don’t look as good.
And not saying we can’t beat Duke but it would take us playing perfect and them having an off night. Not a team I want to us to face until the final 4 or ship

I think we're firmly a #3 seed right now and SHOULD be a #2 seed if selected today.
UK could lose to LSU in SECT and still be higher seed.

I want a 2 or 3 seed. I’m not worried about the 1 seed. I want to win the regular season championship and get a 2 seed. That’s is my current goal it surpasses my preseason aspirations by about 3 or 4 seeds and 3 spots in the SEC race.

Duke and Kentucky both won’t be 1 seed. Duke playing short handed for a bit. I myself not all that impressed with Kentucky. My opinion !I think they lose two more conference games

All I know is it sure is a whole lot more fun worrying about winning games to try and position yourself better for a run in the tourney as opposed to feeling like u have to win out just to possibly make the big dance. Wade has done an unbelievably remarkable job in such a short time. I was fired up about the hire after listening to his interviews and I thought he would do great but to have us even discussing 1,2, or 3 seeds just two years in with the roster he inherited is unbelievable

I agree. People are forgetting too, some poor unfortunate 4 seed will likely have their season ruined by Murray State in the first round. Getting a 2/3 will be huge
