FWIW: underage drinking is actually huge industry. restaurants, distributors and many booze companies would lose BILLIONS without it. this article puts the industry at $23 billion in may of 2006.

The worst is these kids just can't control their bodily functions when they are drunking it up at 7am in the morning on game day. IT AIN"T RIGHT.

do something with Nicholson between burbank and nicholson extension. It's like the entire 2006 graduating class and existing students are out there and they make more of a mess than mardi gras. Not too mention the dozen or so beer pong tables and funnels hanging from the oaks trees. Like that doesn't give it away.

I doubt that he was going to arrest you for conspiracy to drink under age. What he very well could have arrested you for is conspiracy to provide alcohol to a minor. In that you had purchased a large quantity of alcohol, you had actual knowledge that under age people would have access to said alcohol, you took no steps to ensure that under age people would not get the alcohol, and you purchased the kegs (act in furtherance) not only was the officer's threat justified, you probably would have been convicted.
Before you mouth off to a cop, be sure you are right. Providing alcohol to a minor is becoming a more and more significant offense in Louisiana. Particularly every time a minor gets in a car and kills themselves as happened in BR last week.
Minors drinking and drinking and driving is not a joke!

Some kid, whom I had not met, was around my tailgate and got busted for MIP. They carded everyone else, who was of age.
Stupid kid was later pouring beer into a Dr. Pepper can.
Kinda pissed me off.
I didn't see him after that, so I guess it was cool.
I don't do kegs at my tailgate, and keep my ice chest close by, so no minors get to mine unless their parents are there and have parents' permission.
The younger college age/recent grads in our general tailgate area (with whom I'm affiliated) stopped doing kegs this year as well. Too many youngsters. Mad props to them, because they are starting to have jobs and wives and babies and don't need a contributing charge.
But I'd be pissed if LSUPD was throwing their weight around with me. I wouldn't have put up with that shite. I'm older than most of them, so I don't think they would have given me much shite. I think they just pick on the young adults.

when i was going into the student section the cop that patted me down couldnt have been 20 years old and asked me how old i was..i told him 19 and he asked if i had any drinks today i said no and he said yea right

Well did you? You probably smelled like alcohol. That's the thing with drunk people. Anyone can pick their drunk asses out of a crowd, yet they think they are concealing their drunkeness. If it looks like a douchebag and smells like a douchebag, it's probably a douchebag.
I'm not attacking you CS4Heisman, but if a cop singles you out in a crowd, don't ask yourself- why is the cop being an a-hole? You should be asking yourself-why do I look like a douchebag/tool today? Am I yelling out loud like one, do I have vomit stains on my shirt, do I insert the word "brah" in every sentence, is this tattoo of a dragon on the side of my neck a dead give away?
