Was there any public announcement that LSU was now the #1 team in the country?

The meet was over after the first rotation. You could tell our girls were much better and I know nothing about gymnastics.

As of Feb 24 This is a listing just looking at the top ten in the nation. They are other Lady Tigers just outside the top ten and others within the top 25 in the nation.

Uneven Bars
Sarie Morrison #1 LSU

Balance Beam
Jessie Jordan #1 LSU
Rheagan Courville #2 LSU

Floor
Loimincia Hall #3 LSU
Rheagan Courville #7 LSU

Vault
Rheagan Courville #5 LSU
Sarie Morrison #6 LSU

All Around
Rheagan Courville #1 LSU
Jessie Jordan #6 LSU

Sarie Morrison is the only Senior on this list, and I admit to being a bit of a homer being a BR native but its very cool that the top ranked collegiate gymnast is also from BR- Rheagan Courville, #6 is Jessie Jordan from Houston.

But I am very proud of everyone on the team who have worked so hard and are representing LSU so well.
Keep up the good work!!

I think this team is special and all Tiger Nation should support them.

The top five teams in the country are all very close in points:
LSU 197.470
Oklahoma 197.405
Florida 197.365
Alabama 197.140
Utah 197.015

So supporting our Lady Tigers at all Home meets is really needed.

LSU had their best floor team score ever. They dropped a 9.90. That's pretty much unheard of.

Wow, team is for real, it's been a very long wait but I think the SEC drought for our program may be over...of course the sec championship is in Birmingham so as saintsfan and many others who follow this know...we still could get screwed....but this team may have it. Great stuff!

Great night! The meet was so much fun. Fantastic atmosphere in the arena, plus the fact we have the No. 1 team in the nation is awesome.

I look forward to the last three home meets: next Friday against NC State, March 14 against Kentucky and the NCAA Regional on April 5.
