Is it that or is this just a much deeper draft with NFL teams filling other needs like DL, Ot and TE?

Fans bragging about Aranda and LSU’s defense, but the NFL likes Miss State players more, two first rounders on defense. Aranda better have LSU ready to play in 2019. Yes, I know there’s a Greedy thread already, this may be more about Aranda and not LSU’s players. 2018 wasn’t Aranda’s best.

Well those NFL baws didn’t help them get the job done in a 19-3 loss. Greedy is a top talent, very possible he could still go in the first round. You’re just acknowledging one year in the draft where Miss. State had some top level guys, but ignoring previous years. Arranda is a top 2 d-cordinator in CFB, and our defense will be even better in 2019. C’mon man.

I understand LSU fans demanding more from LSU’s offensive coaches, but Aranda didn’t have a great 2018, the defense needs to step up in 2019. And shutting out Miss St’s offense isn’t bragging much, they had no passing QB.

Now Aranda is to blame for Greedy dropping in the draft?

Aranda to blame? Maybe. Do you recall how many times our fans complained that Aranda wasn’t blitzing enough? LSU fans realiy are knowledgeable, more pressure provides more turnovers in the secondary.

Greedy had one of the best completion percentage against rates and passer rating against rates in college football. This has nothing to do with ability or Arandas defense no matter how much the Cheerio crowd tries to lie and spin it that way.

Stop ignoring the defensive lapse in 2018. Aranda admitted the Aggie game was an embarrassment defensively, I not saying anything Aranda hasn’t. He agrees that the Aggie game, was his worse coaching job. Aranda is a really talented coach, time to show it, Blitz more, provide pressure to create more turnovers for secondary.

Madking, Defensively LSU wasn’t up to our normal standards, not at Fla nor against the Aggies.

Now apply those standards to other coaches. Aranda has been proving his greatness for near a decade, it’s not “time to prove it” now he does his job. Now how about you make those demands of our other coaches instead of making excuses and passing blame onto others.

We gave up fewer than 20 points to Florida, the defense scored to keep us in the game vs ATM and would’ve held that offense under 25 points at their place if not for a muffed punt in our territory. What are you talking about? We lost the Florida game because your dad coached like a coward and we lost the ATM game because of a muffed punt and cowardly coaching on a 3rd and 2 that could’ve ended the game. It’s amazing the delusion, twisting and fantasies you force yourself to believe in order to pass the buck to someone els instead of laying responsibilities where they belong.

2019 is the year LSU’s passing game shows up big, it better, fans will not be lenient on Orgeron if it doesn’t. Orgeron is on the hot seat for the offense after promising much, Aranda’s on the hot seat for the defense. Who shows up?

So one guy’s on the hot seat for promises that have never been kept and no accomplishments to speak of while another is on the hot seat for being the absolute best at his job over the past 6 years? If you can’t tell the difference between these two people then you’re completely lost in fantasy.

What? Aranda has proven he's a successful DC at at least 2 different universities.
