Was this the game maker just being selective? Or limited in how much they wished to spend on so many schools licensing fees? Or which schools agreed to whatever terms..

If such is the case, I say smart of LSU and the others, unlike some other big proprietary brands maybe worried about evey nickel and dime..

Free advertising for recruiting and branding.

Damn O'Bannon Bros ruined everybody's gaming fun.

Combo of these 2 I imagine, especially if they put the stadiums in the game too

And so begins the new Golden Age of LSU football and athletics in general.

Is this the first step in the return of the NCAA series?

I doubt it. This is probably just part of story mode which is becoming popular on sports games now.

I think the most recent madden had you start as a high school player as part of story mode.

I remember when NCAA Football added the state championship game to the beginning of my player mode. Then expanded to playoffs, then the entire high school season. Then it let you customize the entire team and league for that season. Brother and I spent all night once getting every team to look just like our high schools division. Including rosters for our high school. Jesus I wish I had that kind of time again

Because I've been waiting on a new model of NCAA football of any kind for 6 years. It's the only game that I can play all day and night.
