A group of friends and I are making a trip down from the Midwest, all of us are big Tiger Fans, to attend the Florida game. None of us have ever been to the Swamp but we want to tailgate with Tiger fans.

What part of campus will Tiger nation be tailgating? I have heard across from Norman Field, is that right? Any insight would be great. Also do we need a parking pass or is it just first come first serve?

Geaux Tigers - thanks in advance for any insight.

There's usually some big tailgates in this swampy area on the road to the stadium.

There are a good number of tiger tailgates in the swamp. Warning tho- the cops there are abusive douchebags... The fans (in my experience) are the worst in the SEC in terms of being hospitable. Anyway, have fun. Be safe. And

Two years ago, my brother in law and I were down there. Got up about 7 and drove toward stadium from up town and there were lots where you had to pay to park. Pulled in, got our chairs out and were invited by a couple of gator fans to hang out with them under one of their tents. Lot was a mix of gator and tiger tailgates. Everyone was very nice. Was more of an older crowd (30 plus). Had a great time until we left the stadium and I was cussed like a dog by the douche fraternity crowd after they had won. All in all it was a good experience. Just get up early Saturday and head for the stadium you will find a good area.

Having been to every SEC East stadium, minus Vandy, I can easily state that Florida is by far the least hospitable place to watch an LSU away game.

How that place has the most beautiful women but the most trailer trash, jort sporting guys is the biggest mystery to me.

Gainesville sux and I will never go back. Good luck tailgating because you can't do it on campus. We had to tailgate in some swampy arse area that people needed golf carts to shuttle them to the stadium because it was too fricking hot and there was a good chance of walking up on an alligator if you walked to the stadium. Gainesville is a dump.
