Dude, STFU. This is ridiculous. Every forecast has it going right at BR.

No, they don't.

Close enough to cause proper caution to be taken. Fact.

you implied cancelling the game today (at the 4:00 announcement in discussion in this thread) would be "proper caution" because "Every forecast has it going right at BR"....you said that in response to someone who was complaining about the possibility of cancelling a game this far in advance

Looks like you read what you wanted to read to me.

And you would have to be a moron to not be taking the proper steps to take "proper precaution" with the current information available.

are you serious?

quote:

This is the truth. If we start changing games because of storms that aren't even in the gulf yet, then we will never know if or when we are going to play

= it is too early to start cancelling games. if they are willnig to cancel games this far in advance (before storms enter gulf), the entire first month of the season should be TBA

quote:

Dude, STFU. This is ridiculous. Every forecast has it going right at BR.

= i'm sure whatever action they take is okay since it is forecasted by every model (which is totally incorrect by the way)

quote:

Close enough to cause proper caution to be taken. Fact.

= okay, you're right...not every model directly to baton rouge, but close enough to give cause for their action (of cancelling the game)

what did i read that you didn't say?

For fans, yes. But the last thing anyone wants to do is to make a premature decision that turns out to be wrong. We have fans that fly in or drive a long way to the game, too. Holding off making the decision as long as they can is the best option.

believe me, if anything was official, it would be on lsusports.net

AT BEST, if the info in the thread is correct, there will be an anouncement at 4:00....and the fact that an announcement at 4:00 hasn't even been verified yet

Idiot, 5 day projections have a margin of error of 300 miles in both directions. 75% of the Gulf coast is still in the CONE.

agreed, but cancelling a football game this far in advance for a storm not even in the gulf yet is not "proper precaution"

Brown Mountain...no one knows exactly where this thing is headed, it is not even near the gulf...it could go anywhere. There is no reason for them to cancel this football game...now next week might be in question.

Yes, i know. I'm am stating from the current info available that the people in charge of making these decisions are going off of. I DONT THINK THEY SHOULD CANCEL THE GAME! I am just saying it would be assinin to think it is not under consideration.

Brown Mountain, I do agree with you that proper precautions should be being made. Like those of us that live on the gulfcoast making arrangements for lodging further inland, stocking up on water, food, gas, ammo, alcohol. Maybe getting in a car a little early and heading to Granny's house in Shreveport even. BUT, to shut half the state down and order an evacuation at this point is not proper precautions. It's panic.
