Dude, STFU. This is ridiculous. Every forecast has it going right at BR.
Dude. Not all forecasts say it's hitting BR. BR is simply in the middle of the Projected path. How many hurricanes can you remember that hit their projected paths this early in their develoment? The point is that this damn thing could do anything from turn one way or the other and hit anywhere from Mex to Fla. It could stall and not hit until Wed. It's too early in the game to start running around like the sky is falling. Start planning? Yeah, but mandatory evacs?

Good planning is important. Full blown panic causes more problems than it solves.

Close enough to cause proper caution to be taken. Fact.
cancelling the game at this point would not be "proper caution"

That is exactly what this means.

No doubt it could do countless things, but the head honchos are looking at the same info we are and are basing their decision off of this info. Jindel, i promise you, will take evry precautionary measure in this situation. He wants to have the game because it is good for the states economy, but not worth it to risk the safety of its residents.

LSU is meeting daily, probably several times a day. It's called emergency preparedness. A meeting doesn't mean cancellation.
IMO, they have to make a decision about cancellation or moving the game before App State boards the plane tomorrow.

no, i did...you even quoted it
you implied cancelling the game today (at the 4:00 announcement in discussion in this thread) would be "proper caution" because "Every forecast has it going right at BR"....you said that in response to someone who was complaining about the possibility of cancelling a game this far in advance

By tomorrow this thing may be pushed back to making landfall Wednesday. Then what do we do? Start talking about canceling Troy as well?

I didn't even think of anything past this weekend but what if this sucker hits and its Katrina like. I would almost bet Troy game is moved or canceled.
